Who wouldn’t love a cozy at-home library they could snuggle in? At the end of a long day, the best thing for our psyche is a great book beside the fireplace—and don’t even get us started on all the tea you could drink! Of course, it might take a little work to bring all those books to your doorstep, but with a bit of elbow grease and some solid planning, you can build your very own getaway.

Homeowners often convert their basements into an entertainment area, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, don’t overlook your attic! Even a small space can benefit from a few shelves and a good reading chair. The only thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to properly insulate.

Do you have free space between every step? Looking to turn it into something charming? Stick books in there! It not only adds a nice aesthetic to your home, but it also saves on storage if you have an abundance of books. If you don’t have any spaces between your steps, you can always include a built-in shelf next to your staircase.
